For Izmir companies looking for software and AI solutions
Izmir's economy is built on manufacturing, exports and trade: factories in organised industrial zones such as Atatürk and Kemalpaşa, the Aegean agriculture and food-processing chain, logistics around the Alsancak and Aliağa ports, and tourism. That shapes software needs too: quality on the production line, documents and timing in exports, and data flow in warehouses and the field.
Hatson Tech is a software and AI company based in Ankara. We run projects with Izmir companies remotely and plan on-site work for steps that need to see the floor, such as camera placement on a production line or acceptance tests. What sets us apart is that we build vision and data projects by measuring them against factory reality.
Izmir's sectors and typical projects
| Sector | Typical need | Fitting solution |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturing (industrial zones) | Defective parts, manual inspection, downtime | Vision-based quality control, predictive maintenance |
| Food and agricultural products | Product grading, traceability | Camera-based sorting, batch tracking |
| Export and foreign trade | Heavy document traffic, volatile demand | Document automation, demand forecasting |
| Port and logistics | Shipment exceptions, many systems | Integration, field app, operations dashboard |
| Tourism and hospitality | Multilingual guest communication | A multilingual assistant that cites sources |
Vision on the production line: the most common need in Izmir factories
In quality control, AI is often the investment that pays back fastest, but its success is decided by camera, lighting and data before the model. When defect examples are scarce, we compare, by measurement, anomaly detection without defect labels that starts from normal images, few-shot image recognition that works with a handful of examples, and segmentation that measures the defect's area. For the overall framework, see our guide to vision-based quality control in manufacturing.
The first step in such projects is usually collecting a few days of images on site and measuring how many defects today's manual inspection misses. That way the difference AI will make is visible in numbers before the investment decision.
How do remote and on-site work fit together?
- Discovery: The first sessions are held by video; we map the process, the systems and the success measure together. If needed, we plan an in-depth discovery workshop in person.
- One owner, regular demos: The project has a single technical owner, and we demo a working build every two weeks.
- Test environment: Your team tries every release from its own browser or phone, and feedback is recorded.
- Access and security: Access to your systems is granted with least privilege, logged and time-limited; personal data is processed under KVKK, Türkiye's data protection law.
- Acceptance and go-live: Acceptance tests and go-live can happen remotely or on site; which steps happen where is written into the project plan from the start.
